  3. This is the latest version of NetHack 3.1 (3.1.3) for Windows NT.
  4.  
  5. NetHack 3.1 is a new generation of the dungeon exploration game NetHack.
  6. It is the product of more than two years of very intensive effort by the 
  7. NetHack Development Team and its many porting sub-teams. The 3.1.3 update
  8. while primarily a bug fix release, does include some new features and game
  9. enhancements.  Refer to the file README.NT within the .zip file for
  10. installation instructions.

  12. This Windows NT version is a TTY port of NetHack which uses the NT console 
  13. I/O subsystem. The .zip file contains an executable for Intel
  14. based NT machines only.  The file 'archives.txt' within the .zip file 
  15. lists sites offering the full NetHack source code. For more information
  16. about the game itself refer to the file guideboo.txt.
